Get Over It!

In a recent column Paul Krugman of the New York Times tells us that he has discovered a book that documents that “Al Gore won the 2000 presidential election.” He also still seems to have some questions about 2004.
He goes on to warn us that the Republicans will be tempted once again to try to win in 2006 and 2008 “by any means necessary.” He seems to feel that “voter suppression” is a key strategy of the Republicans. Certainly there are ways to discourage people from voting. The Democrats found a sure fire one in the 2004 presidential election. Nominate a drab candidate who can’t clearly present what he and his party stand for.
Despite Paul Krugman’s warnings to beware of those dirty Republicans, don’t we all know in our hearts that there are those in both parties who will do whatever they can to get their candidates elected?
Stay tuned for more of the same. That’s American politics.
